Since Last Post...

Something somewhat noteworthy happened since the last post. Yes, Al Gore was nominated for a Daytime Emmy, but that's not what I mean.

[My wife just informed me that Al Gore was actually nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize, but I still think his performance as Joshua Cocksman on General Hospital deserved some recognition. Now my wife tells me he's never been on General Hospital. Whatever.]

In any case, I was referring to the Jesse Boulerice assult on Ryan Kessler. The league gave Boulerice a 25 game suspension for his cheap shot, although many people seem to think he should have to serve far more games siting in a luxury box and wearing expensive suits.

What those people may not know is the conversation that took place in the minutes leading up to the attack. A good friend of mine, who shall remain nameless, overheard the following conversation during the face off preceding the assult:

Kessler: Hey Jesse, that one of those new Carbon Fiber beauties?

Boulerice: Heck yeah, I only roll with the finest quality equipment.

Kessler: Why? You kinda suck. You don't really need it.

Boulerice: What the? What did you just say?

Kessler: Nothing, i just heard Carbon Fiber is good for your digestion.

Boulerice: Really? Then I'll give you my serving of it after the puck drops. I'm full.

Kessler: Sorry I missed that, I was waving to your Mom in the stands.

Now I never got a second source to confirm that, but my friend was sitting pretty close. And after 5 beers he swears he can lip read, so that's all I needed to hear. But take a look and judge for yourself.
